About HeartScript Prayer
What it is
A quiet place to share a prayer request and to pray for others. It's part of HeartScript, a free app for memorizing Scripture, and uses the same account.
How it works
- Post a request with a short title. Signed in, you choose whether your name shows; signed out, it's always anonymous.
- A request stays up for a week, then moves to the archive, where it can still be read.
- Tap “Pray for this” once you've prayed. You can pray by name (signed in) or anonymously. Each person prays once per request, and everyone sees how many have prayed.
- The person who posted can mark it answered, with a short note, or delete it.
- Signed in, your prayers build incense, a Daniel's Window streak and milestones.
Posting well
Requests are public. Please don't include other people's full names or private details, like where they live or a diagnosis they haven't shared; a first name or “my friend” is enough. Links, email addresses and phone numbers aren't allowed.
Every request has a Report link. A request reported by three people is hidden until it's been looked at.
What's kept
- Your requests and prayers, in HeartScript's database. An anonymous request never shows who posted it; if you were signed in, only the server knows it's yours, so it can list it under My requests.
- Without an account, this browser keeps a random id and a list of the requests you prayed for, so you pray once each. The server stores only a scrambled (hashed) form of that id and of your internet address, never the address itself.
- A request posted without an account comes with a private link to manage it. Only a hash of the link's secret is stored, so we can't send it to you again.
- To keep out spam, posting, praying and reporting without an account first pass a check by Cloudflare Turnstile. There are no analytics or trackers.
- Deleting your HeartScript account (in its Settings) deletes your requests, prayers and reports too.
